Lac La Biche County Recreation Facilities and COVID-19

Published: June 13, 2021

Update (June 13, 2021): Due to a staff-related tragedy, the Bold Center will not be reopening as originally planned on Monday, June 14. Instead, the facilities will be open for stage two activities (as outlined on our website) on Wednesday, June 16. However, the food court at the Bold Center, outdoor sports fields at the Bold Center, and Portage Pool will be available as originally planned on Monday, June 14.
Thank you for your understanding and patience during this difficult time.

The Province’s announcement of its “Open for Summer” plan means that County facilities, programs, and services can begin returning to regular operations. Below is a list of different recreation and social service programs that the County runs, and how each stage of Alberta’s re-opening plan will affect what can be safely offered.

Please note that all details are subject to change based on Alberta Health Services’ restrictions, and that these dates are based on current estimates from the Government of Alberta. The timing of each stage may shift depending on the ever-changing state of the pandemic in Alberta.
