A recreation-based summer camp for youth ages 5-12yrs

Looking to keep your child active while they have fun?  Join Summer Sunzone for a week or all summer long!

Summer Sunzone offers an age appropriate active summer program for children.  Our HIGH FIVE® trained leaders foster positive developmental experiences while building confidence.  Your child will have the opportunity to explore creativity, teamwork, and leadership in a fun and safe environment!  Featuring weekly themes, pool visits, Mad About Science, library visits, Nerf Gun wars, outdoor and off-site activities and more!

Cenovus Fieldhouse Funzone

Join our recreation staff at the Bold Center every Thursday from 6:30-7:30pm in Fieldhouse 2 for Fieldhouse Funzone. This program is completely FREE thanks to a generous donation from Cenovus Energy. Here is a list of some of the activities that will be hosted throughout the year: Dodgeball Mania, Monster Mash, Soccer Mania, NERF Gun Wars and more! Stay tuned to the Bold Center Facebook page to see what activity is happening each week. Please remember your clean indoor shoes.


Access Fitness 1 

Are you between the ages of 12 & 15yrs and interested in gaining early access to the Cenovus Fitness Center?  This introductory course will teach you the basics of setting up and using the resistance training machines, cables stations and cardio equipment.  This hands-on workshop will also cover basic nutrition, facility rules, etiquette, and safety. 

It will cover:

Access Fitness I & II Waiver

Please register at least one day in advance.

Access Fitness Part II- *NEW*

This course will take your Access Fitness basics to the next level. You will be working with the trainer on more specific exercises using the free weights and cable machines so that you are more confident in the fitness center.

Completion of Access Fitness 1 is required before participant can sign up.

Everyone Gets to Play

is a Canada-wide initiative led by the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) to make recreation more accessible for low-income children and their families. Everyone Gets to Play is a program that removes financial barriers for youth in low-income families.
