All of the Bold Center’s fitness classes are led by experienced instructors with specific technical training and certifications to make sure that you have a positive experience. We are passionate about the benefits of physical activity and we develop and deliver programs for individuals of all abilities. Whether it’s your first time participating in a group exercise class or you are looking to take your current training or competition to the next level, the Bold Center has the right instructor, the right program, and the right experience for you.
The Bold Center has a wide variety of programs to meet your needs. Remember that anyone who will be participating in Bold Center fitness classes or personal training must complete a waiver and a PAR-Q form. Be completely honest with your answers – your safety and well-being are extremely important to us. All forms must be submitted BEFORE participating in the program. This includes fitness class drop-ins.
Your PAR-Q is good for one year provided there are no changes to your health or physical condition that would result in any changes to your “No” answers to a “Yes”. The PARmed-X is good for 6 months.
Pregnant women are required to fill out the PARmed-X for Pregnancy.
If you have medical concerns or issues, you will be given a PARmed-X form to take to your physician.
The Bold Center’s adult recreation sports leagues aim to provide a friendly, non-competitive place for participants to improve their fitness and meet new people. The adult sports leagues are excellent for newcomers looking to meet new people. Best of all, you don’t need to be a seasoned athlete to play. Diversity in players’ skills and personalities make the leagues more fun! If you’re looking for something to do in the evening, register for one of the upcoming adult sports leagues at the Bold Center. For more details, call 780-623-3829.
*Leagues are for age 16+ unless otherwise indicated
Ten teams from the County’s mixed slo-pitch league took the fields this past weekend to play it out in a double elimination tournament to end the season. Saturday started off nice and teams hit the fields for some fierce competition. The Brewers and Old Mitt’s went undefeated on Saturday and matched up Sunday morning, with Brewer’s winning that game. Old Mitt’s ended up taking 3rd place overall (great job all). Despite the cold, rainy, windy weather on Sunday, teams were ready to play with toques and smiles on! The Brewer’s luck ran out against Lac La Biche Sporting Goods, who played four games back-to-back and forced a second final against the Brewers. In the end, it was LLB Sporting Goods (the “comeback kids”) who came out on top and took the title!
3rd Place – Old Mitt’s
2nd Place – Brewer’s
1st Place – LLB Sporting Goods
I’d like to say a special thanks to Vern Gladue and Jim Cardinal for umpiring all weekend, to all the players and teams who played in the tourney, to the Parks staff for keeping the fields lined and maintained and I tip my hat off to those braved the weather to come out and support their teams – you are all troopers in my mind! See you all next year!
